How to use the Tagmarshal Heatmap

The Heatmap feature provides superintendents and course managers with visual, data-driven insights into player traffic, equipment movement, and overall turf conditions.

How It Works

As golfers and maintenance crews navigate the course, GPS tracking automatically records their movement paths.

To generate a visual map:

  1. Navigate to the Superintendent Module in TagAssist.

  2. Open the Heatmap tool.

  3. Select your desired course utilization time frame

The system aggregates all collected geolocation data from golf carts and walkers across that timeframe, rendering a comprehensive heat overlay directly onto your course map.

Why use the Heatmap?

1. Operations & Maintenance Tracking

  • Aerial Fleet View: Get a bird's-eye view of maintenance teams, machinery, and daily mow patterns.

  • Workflow Optimization: Easily pinpoint operational bottlenecks and streamline crew routes for better efficiency.

2. Player Experience & Course Management

  • Traffic Control: Identify off-path driving and enforce cart path rules where needed.

  • Course Setup: Adjust pin placements, tee positions, and rope lines based on real-world movement patterns.

3. Agronomy & Turf Health

  • Soil Compaction Warning: High-density traffic areas reveal visible wear patterns, helping you spot turf at risk for compaction before severe damage occurs.

  • Targeted Resources: Focus water and fertilizer applications specifically on high-stress zones, boosting sustainability while keeping resource costs down.
