Sending2Way Messages (for operators)
This feature supports proactive communication to help manage pace of play, safety, weather conditions, and general on-course notifications, while maintaining a professional golfing experience.
Two-Way Messaging helps keep play organized and players informed. You can use it to send:
Pace of play messages
(e.g. “Please pick up the pace of play.”)
Weather alerts
(e.g. lightning or severe weather warnings)
Safety notifications
(e.g. medical or on-course emergencies)
General notifications or reminders
(e.g. clubhouse updates or F&B promotions)
Lost item inquiries
(e.g. “Did you lose a club on the previous hole?”)
Broadcast messages to multiple carts or walkers
Individual messages to a specific group
Golfers can also respond, allowing for two-way communication between staff and players.
There are two ways to send two-way messages:
Locate a tag/device on the course map
Devices may be active or inactive
Click on the tag to open the Tag Sidebar
Scroll to the Two-Way Messaging section
This view allows you to quickly message a specific group directly from the course map.
Click the Tagmarshal icon in the top-left corner
Scroll to the Marshal section
Select Send Two-Way Message
This opens the Two-Way Messaging Dashboard, where you can manage individual and broadcast messages.
The dashboard displays:
A list of all two-way devices at your facility
Tag or cart numbers on the left-hand side
Device status:
Grey = inactive
Colored = active
Pace status relative to your goal time (on pace, slow, delayed)
Device details, including:
Class (Cart or Walker)
Device type (8-inch unit, 10-inch unit, handheld)
Selecting a tag displays the message history for that device on the right-hand side.
You can send individual messages from either the Tag Sidebar or the Send Two-Way Message module.
Select the tag/device you want to message
Click Compose Message (or use the message field at the bottom of the dashboard)
Choose a message type icon:
General Message – Grey letterbox (non-urgent)
Pace Alert – Red exclamation mark (pace of play)
Weather Alert – Yellow lightning bolt (adverse weather)
Safety Alert – Red medical cross (emergencies)
Toggle the sound alert:
On for urgent or time-sensitive messages
Off for general or informational messages
Type your message
(e.g. “You are currently four minutes behind pace. Please pick up the pace.”)
Click Send
After sending a message:
A toast notification confirms the message was sent
Message status indicators:
Tick icon: Message delivered to the device
Green tick: Message has been read and acknowledged by the golfer
Any incoming replies from golfers appear in the same message history panel
Broadcast messaging allows you to send one message to multiple devices at the same time.
Open the Send Two-Way Message module
Select the Broadcast option
Choose your recipients:
Select All to message every active cart and walker, or
Manually select specific tags
Choose a message type icon (e.g. Weather Alert)
Toggle the sound alert if required
Type your message
(e.g. “Severe weather in the area. Please return to the clubhouse.”)
