Description of your Classic Installed Device:

The Classic cart device is a product that gets hard wired into the course carts.

The devices require a 12 - 14V input to power up. A converter is used to step down the voltage when Installed into carts that have higher voltages.

They are connected to a switched supply (Cart Ignition) on 12V carts or a permanent supply (Directly to the cart battery) on 48 - 66V carts.

The devices are water resistant, not waterproof.

Inside the casing of the Dart device, there is an Internal backup battery which is roughly 3.5V and usually lasts for 2 hours when fully charged. The device however does not need this battery to function but must be connected with every Installation. The sim slot is also housed inside the device casing.

The Queclink devices have the sim slot located on the side of the device. You will also find a tiny little switch that needs to be shifted on before configuring the devices. The device will not work otherwise.

1) Purpose

How to hard reset a Classic Installed Dart device when it is unresponsive, not charging, or not sending location updates. A hard reset forces the device to restart and restore its functions.

2) Scope

For in-cart, classic installed Dart / Dart3 devices.

3) Safety & Prerequisites

  • Cart parked, ignition OFF.

  • Access to the Dart device location (behind dash/under cup holder—varies by cart).

  • Basic tools to open the cover (if applicable).

4) What you’ll need

  • Optional: Small Phillips screwdriver if a cover is present.

5) Procedure

A. Power-cycle the unit

  1. Locate the Dart module in the cart (usually behind the dash or cupholder panel).

  2. Toggle the hardware power switch on the unit to OFF.

    • If there’s an inline device switch or a small side rocker under a cover, set it to OFF.

  3. Disconnect the main power lead to the Dart (2-pin/inline connector from cart power).

    • If there’s a backup/internal battery connector visible, disconnect it as well (if accessible).

  4. Wait 30–60 seconds to allow capacitors to fully discharge.

  5. Reconnect power: plug the main power lead back in (and backup/internal battery if you unplugged it).

  6. Toggle the hardware switch back to ON.

B. Forced reboot (if needed)
If the unit still shows no LEDs or remains frozen, press and hold the unit’s power/reset button (if present) for 12–15 seconds until the status LED goes dark and then re-lights. Release and allow it to boot.

C. Boot & LED check
Observe status LED behavior: it should progress through boot (solid → blinking) and then settle into a normal pattern indicating GPS/cellular is active.

  • Give it 2–5 minutes in open sky to acquire GPS and re-register on the network.

D. Device Operation Check
In the dashboard Devices page, confirm the Last Fix timestamp updates for this cart.
If relevant, drive the cart a short distance (into a new zone) to trigger movement; verify geofence behavior and that the cart appears on the map.

6) Notes & Troubleshooting

  • No LEDs at all after reset: Check cart power feed/fuse, inline connectors, and that the switch is ON. Try a known-good cart power feed if possible.

  • Still not sending fixes: Move to an area with clear sky; check SIM seating; reseat antenna connectors if accessible (do not overtighten).

  • Buzzer issues after reset: Verify geofence profile applied; if turning buzzers off via server, allow a few minutes for commands to apply. If classic devices are slow to update, they may need to be awake with signal to receive changes.

  • Escalate if the unit won’t power, has erratic LEDs, or never updates the Last Fix after the above steps.

Quick Reference – Classic Installed Device Hard Reset

  2. Unplug main power lead (and backup battery if accessible)

  4. Reconnect power lead(s)

  5. Switch ON

  6. If stuck, hold power/reset 12–15s until it restarts
