How to sync and manage Golf Genius 

The Golf Genius module allows you to monitor, sync, and manage Golf Genius events directly within your Tagmarshal system. This ensures your tournament events are accurately reflected on the Tagmarshal Live Map and devices.

Purpose of the Golf Genius Module

• View upcoming Golf Genius events at your course

• Sync new or updated events into Tagmarshal

• Manage event activation on the Live Map

• Configure event-specific settings

• View rounds and leaderboards (when scores are available)

Step 1: Access the Golf Genius Module

1. Open the main menu in Tagmarshal.

2. Navigate to Administrator.

3. Select Golf Genius.

You will land on the Golf Genius events page.

Step 2: Understand the Events List

On the Golf Genius page, you’ll see a list of events showing:

• Event Name

• Start Date

• End Date

• Category

• Season

Only events that fall within the currently selected date range will appear.

Example: If today’s date is December 17, only events occurring within the selected period (e.g., March 10 – December 19, 2025) will be displayed.

Step 3: Sync Golf Genius Events

Automatic Sync

• Events automatically sync every night at midnight.

• No action is required for events created in advance.

Manual Sync (Same-Day Events)

If an event is created on the day of the tournament:

1. Click Sync Events.

2. Any unsynced events will be pulled into:

   • The Golf Genius module

   • The Tagmarshal Live Map

Use this button only when necessary.

Step 4: View Event Rounds

View Rounds for a Specific Event

1. Click View Rounds next to an event.

2. A new tab will open displaying all rounds for that event.

View All Upcoming Rounds

• Use the pagination controls at the bottom right of the page to browse all upcoming rounds across events.

Step 5: Enable or Disable an Event on Tagmarshal

If you do not want a Golf Genius event active on your Tagmarshal system:

1. Use the toggle on the left-hand side of the event.

2. Toggle off to deactivate the event on Tagmarshal.

Step 6: If you'd like to edit Event Settings

To adjust Tagmarshal settings for a specific event:

1. Click Edit next to the event.

2. From here, you can:

   • Toggle the event on or off

   • Enable or disable Mobile Score Entry

     • Allows golfers to enter scores directly via the Tagmarshal two-way unit

   • Set golfers to be “attending by default” in Golf Genius

3. Click Save and Exit.

You’ll see a confirmation message: “Saved successfully.”

Step 7: View the Leaderboard

• Click View Leaderboard for an event.

• The leaderboard will display only if scores are available.

Helpful Notes

• Same-day tournaments require a manual sync.

• Event toggles control whether Golf Genius data appears on the Live Map.

• Leaderboards depend on score availability from Golf Genius.
