Setting Up and Managing Variable Goal Times

How to use the Variable Goal Times module to adjust your total goal times based on course conditions, time of day, or player type.

What Are Variable Goal Times?

Variable Goal Times allow you to customize pace goals to better reflect real-world conditions.
You can:

  • Shorten goal times for faster play (e.g., early-morning singles or twosomes).

  • Extend goal times for busy periods (e.g., weekends, holidays, or afternoons).

  • Adjust for special conditions like wet weather, cart-path-only restrictions, or course events.

How to Access the Variable Goal Times Module

  1. Go to the Administrator Panel.

  2. Click on Variable Goal Times.

    • You’ll see a list of existing goal times already configured for your course.

Creating a New Variable Goal Time

  1. Click Add New Goal Time at the top of the screen.

  2. Name the goal time — use a clear, descriptive label (e.g., Monday Shotgun, Weekend Afternoon, Rain Delay).

  3. Set the total goal time (e.g., 5 hours).

  4. Select the applicable days:

    • By default, all days are selected.

    • Click to deselect any days this variable time should not apply to.

  5. Set time ranges:

    • Define specific hours (e.g., 7:00–10:00 AM).

    • If you want the goal time active all day, select Always On.

  6. Click Save to confirm your new variable goal time.

Managing Existing Goal Times

  • After saving, your new entry will appear in the list (possibly on the second page if you already have many configured).

  • To activate: Toggle the switch On.

    • If another variable goal time overlaps, the system will alert you to a conflict.

  • To edit: Click Edit, make your changes, and click Save.

  • To delete: Click the Delete icon next to the goal time.

Viewing Variable Goal Times in Reports

To see your variable goal times reflected in analytics:

  1. Open the Analytics Hub.

  2. Under the Management section, select the relevant date or date range.

  3. You’ll see different goal times displayed in the report (e.g., 4:30, 4:40, 4:45, 4:50 hours) for specific hours or rounds.

Summary

Use Variable Goal Times to fine-tune your course’s pace management by adapting goal durations to conditions and player behavior.
This ensures accurate reporting, smoother play, and better operational efficiency throughout the day or event.
