Setting Up and Using the Tagmarshal TV Page

Setting Up and Using the Tagmarshal TV Page

The Tagmarshal TV Page acts as your golf course's live air traffic control tower. Designed specifically for big-screen TVs and monitors, it presents your Live Map data in a clear, high-visibility dashboard view to keep both your team and players updated in real time.

Key Benefits & Facility Use Cases

Top operators leverage the TV Page across various areas of their facility to streamline operations and drive revenue:

  • In the Pro Shop: Staff gain complete oversight of the entire field while handling check-ins, allowing them to spot potential bottlenecks without touching a mouse.

  • For Player Assistants & Caddie Masters: Replaces labor-intensive patrolling with targeted interventions by highlighting exactly which groups need attention.

  • On the First Tee: Sets clear pace-of-play expectations for golfers before they play their first shot.

  • In the Clubhouse: Builds a culture of subtle, self-managing accountability among players and members.

  • Revenue Generation: Doubles as a dynamic digital billboard to promote daily Food & Beverage specials and Pro Shop gear, driving instant clubhouse revenue.

How to Configure the TV Page Settings

Step 1: Navigate to the Display Settings

  1. Open your Tagmarshal dashboard.

  2. Go to the Hardware Manager module.

  3. Select TV Display.

Step 2: Choose Your Display Elements

Toggle through the display options to select what information appears on your screens. The three primary views include:

  • Course Map: Shows the live map, expected round times vs. goal times, and player names (if using a tee sheet integration).

  • Playing Groups: Displays live group performance and pace metrics.

  • Course Status: Displays overall course pace statistics and operational metrics.

Tip: You can hide specific windows if you prefer not to display certain information publicly. Tagmarshal strongly recommends displaying the Live Map view for maximum transparency on pace of play.

Step 3: Set Display Intervals

Customize the Interval (the number of seconds or minutes that pass before transitioning from one page to the next). Adjust this based on how quickly you want your screens to cycle through information.

Step 4: Upload Custom Backgrounds & Advertisements

You can customize the background images for windows (such as the Playing Groups page) or upload internal/third-party promotional slides.

  1. Download the Microsoft Office template provided in the TV Display settings menu. This template is pre-formatted to the required display size.

  2. Insert your background images or promotional graphics into the template.

  3. Export and save your file as a JPEG (.jpg). A JPEG format is required for optimal display performance.

  4. Click Add Image in Tagmarshal and upload your file.

Step 5: Save and Apply

  1. Click Save to lock in your settings.

  2. Click TV Page to open the live view and preview your changes.

Note: Changes can take up to 5 minutes to apply across your screens, though they typically update much faster.
