Live Map Management/ overview

How to use the live map feature for monitoring pace of play and staff activities.

1. Accessing the Live Map

  • Navigate to the TM dashboard.

  • Locate the live map, which serves as the landing page.

2. Tracking Staff Carts

  • Use the live map to monitor staff carts such as:

    • Player assistance vehicles

    • Superintendent vehicles

    • Beverage carts

3. Identifying Bottlenecks

  • Utilize the live cart or tag icons to track groups or players.

  • Monitor the gap time to identify potential bottlenecks.

4. Understanding Tag Icons

  • Recognize the tag or cart icons that indicate player locations and pace notifications. Cart icons are black square icons with a cart logo in the middle

5. Interpreting Tag Colors

  • Familiarize yourself with the color coding of tags:

    • Green icons mean on pace

    • Red icons mean: Slow but not impacting others

    • Orange icons mean: Delayed by a group ahead

    • Purple icons mean: the group or player is delaying groups behind them

6. Tag Icon Size

  • Observe that tag icons change size based on how long a group is out of position- larger tags are a bigger concern

7. How to View Inactive Tags

  • Click on the active icon in the top right-hand corner to see carts or tags not currently engaged in a round.

Cautionary Notes

  • Ensure to refresh the live map regularly to get the most accurate updates.

  • Be aware of the potential for miscommunication if tags are not monitored closely.

Tips for Efficiency

  • Check the live map every 15 seconds for real-time updates.

  • Use color codes to quickly assess the status of groups on the course.

  • Keep an eye on the size of icons to prioritize which groups need attention.
