Here is a video to help you Navigate/ use the Live Map:
The Tagmarshal Live Map provides a real-time, bird’s-eye view of your entire golf course at the click of a button. By centralizing data from every cart and walking group, it eliminates the need for staff to aimlessly patrol the course to find pace issues.
How it Works: The system uses GPS tracking devices (installed in carts or attached to walking bags) to transmit positional data to the cloud. Tagmarshal’s AI then compares each group's real-time location against more than 10 dynamically calculated factors- such as goal times and the progress of the rest of the field- to generate the color-coded tags/ icons seen on the map.
Log in and open the TM dashboard.
Locate the live map, which serves as the landing page.
Core Functionality
The Live Map provides a real-time visual representation of your course. Every 15 seconds, the GPS location of all mobile tags and installed carts is updated, ensuring you have the most current data on:
Player Locations: Track specific groups or individual players.
Pace of Play: Monitor movement and receive automatic pace notifications.
Staff Management: Plan and delegate tasks for player assistants, food and beverage carts, and superintendent vehicles.
Icons on the map vary by shape and symbol to help you distinguish between players and staff at a glance.
| Icon Shape/Symbol | Description |
| Circle (Round) | Represents a Walker (Mobile Tag). |
| Square | Represents a Golf Cart (Installed Device). |
| Pen & Notepad | Represents Staff or Player Assistants. |
| Knife & Fork | Represents Food & Beverage Carts. |
| Mower | Represents Superintendent/Maintenance Vehicles. |
Note: Player icons feature large white device numbers in the center for easy identification.
The color-coding system allows you to instantly assess the "health" of the course without clicking into individual rounds.
Green: On pace.
Orange: Delayed by a group in front of them.
Purple: Action Required. This group is delaying others and may require intervention.
Red: Slow, but not currently impacting other groups behind them.
Transparent: Inactive players or those not currently in a round.
Tip: Toggle these via the "Active/Eye" icon in the top-left corner.
To help you prioritize, tag icons increase in size the longer a group remains out of position. The larger the icon, the more urgent the need for attention.
To maximize course flow, use the Live Map in conjunction with these features:
Located at the bottom of the page, the Gap Time Monitor helps you spot bottlenecks before they become major issues. Use it to identify which specific groups are causing a backup and require a "friendly check-in."
The map isn't just for players. Use it to ensure your maintenance and beverage services are positioned effectively and are not inadvertently interfering with the pace of play.
