How to Manually End a Tag Round to Reassign a new round
How to Manually End a Tag Round to Reassign a new round
In a fast-paced environment, timing is everything. A common bottleneck occurs when you need to assign a cart or tag to a new player, but find the ID greyed out or unavailable. This usually happens because the system still recognizes the tag as part of an active round that hasn't officially "closed" yet.
Here is the quick process to manually clear an active round and get your equipment back in rotation.
The Problem: Why is the Tag Greyed Out?
You cannot assign a cart (e.g., Cart 196) to a new tee time if it is currently tied to a session. Even if the players have physically finished their round, the digital record must be closed before the tag becomes "Available" again.
What to do:
Exit the Assignment Screen (the greyed-out cart number in the tee sheet) press Clear and return to the main map view by clicking on the Tagmarshal Icon.
Locate the Cart on the Map Navigate to Courses and select your specific course name. Look for the cart number in question (e.g., 196) on the map. It will likely appear as an active icon because the system still thinks it's on the course.
Access Round Controls (Click directly on the Cart Tag icon on the map) This will open the details for that specific unit.
Manually Terminate the Session Scroll down the menu until you find the Round Controls section. Press End Round and select Confirm when prompted.
Reassign to the New Tee Time Now that the cart is "Inactive," it is free to be used. Go back to your desired tee time, select the player or group, and you will now be able to select and assign the tag without it being greyed out.
Pro Tip: Always ensure the previous round is actually finished before manually ending it, as this will stop tracking and data collection for that specific session immediately.
