Banner advertisements are a simple and effective way to display visual promotions or announcements across the bottom of your 2-Way Screens during a round—perfect for highlighting Happy Hour specials, event sign-ups, cart path restrictions, or pace-of-play reminders.
⚠️ Important Note on Banner Functionality:
The system supports one active banner advertisement at a time. However, within that single advertisement, you can upload multiple images to display as a rotating carousel, complete with a configurable switch speed.
Click the Tagmarshal Logo in the top-left corner of your dashboard.
Navigate to Administrator ----> Advertisements.
Click the Add New Advert button in the top-right corner.
A pop-up window will appear to help you configure your new advertisement.
Enter a clear, descriptive name (e.g., “Pro Shop Sale Banner”).
This title helps you easily manage and identify the ad within the Advertisement module dashboard.
Choose when your banner advert should run:
Always On: Toggle "Always On" and set the schedule from 00:01 to 23:59. Click the (+) icon to apply this schedule.
Specific Days: Select specific days (e.g., Friday, Saturday, and Sunday for weekend promotions).
Specific Hours: Set time windows within a day (e.g., set 14:00 to 18:00 for a Happy Hour promotion).
Choose where the advertisement will display:
Cart Only: Displays on cart-mounted 2-Way Screens (8-inch & 10-inch).
Walker Only: Displays on handheld 5-inch 2-Way Screens.
Any Device Type: Displays across all connected 2-Way devices at your facility (recommended for this tutorial).
Set how long each image stays on screen before rotating to the next image in your carousel.
Recommended: 20 seconds provides players enough time to read your message without becoming repetitive.
Click the Template Link to download a ZIP file containing templates for all screen sizes:
5-inch Handheld / Mobile
8-inch Cart-Mounted Screen
10-inch Cart-Mounted Screen
Add your design to the template and save it as a JPEG or PNG.
Click Add Image in the pop-up form to upload your graphic. You can upload multiple images to build your carousel rotation.
Click on an uploaded image to preview how it looks on screen. (To exit the preview, click your browser’s back button.)
Use the speaker icon toggle in the top-right corner to control audio alerts:
Sound On: Plays an alert tone to grab the player's attention.
Sound Off: Displays the advertisement silently.
Recommended: Keep sound OFF for banner ads to avoid distracting players during their round.
Click Save Advert to complete the setup.
Your new banner will appear on the Advertisements Dashboard.
Toggle Control:
Active (Green): The banner is live on your devices.
Inactive (Grey): The banner is disabled. (Remember: Only one banner advert item can be active at a time).
💡 Design Tip: Keep text concise, high-contrast, and visually uncluttered so players can read it at a quick glance.
