This article explains how the Auto Assign feature and the Tee Sheet integrations work, and provides step-by-step instructions for enabling/disabling Auto Assign, manually assigning tags, and using the tee time pinning and related settings.
Course marshals, operations managers and system administrators who configure device-to-tee-time assignment and manage tee-sheet integrations.
You must have admin or relevant permissions to change Auto Assign and tee sheet settings.
If you want automatic tee-sheet integrations, ensure you have access to your tee-sheet provider credentials or contact details for Customer Success.
Open the Tee Sheet page in the dashboard.
Locate the Auto Assign toggle (top-left of the Tee Sheet view).
To enable Auto Assign, click the toggle so it shows On. When enabled the system will:
Calculate a system start time for each device/tag.
Assign each tag to the closest tee time automatically.
To disable Auto Assign, click the toggle so it shows Off. When disabled the system will not assign tags automatically.
The system will automatically populate tee times with tags and set the group start time to the tee time (tee time pinning). Example: a group that went out at an on-course time will be shown with the tee time (e.g., 07:00) in the system.
You must manually assign tags to tee times:
Select the tag(s) in the list.
Click Assign selected tags.
Confirm the tee time to pin the tags to the tee sheet entry.
Contact your Customer Success associate or our Support line to request adding your tee-sheet provider integration.
Some tee-sheet providers require you to request the integration from your side; others can be requested by us directly to the provider. If your provider needs action on your end we will advise you.
Once integrated, the system will pull in active tee times that already have names assigned — reducing manual name entry.
Hole 1 represent Tee times that start on hole 1.
Hole 10 represent Tee times that start on hole 10 (second tee).
Shotgun: Events where many groups start simultaneously in a shotgun format.
Use the appropriate tab when reviewing or assigning groups so you see the correct start-hole context.
The tee sheet supports groups of up to six players (useful for flexible formats or slow days).
From the tee sheet you can choose to ignore geofences for a player for handicap or medical reasons. This setting will apply only to the carts assigned to that tee time.
If assigned groups show unexpected start times, check whether tee time pinning is active — pinning will override calculated system start times.
If your tee sheet is not pulling active tee times with names, confirm the integration status with Customer Success and verify whether the provider requires a request from the club.
For manual assignment errors, ensure you have the correct tags selected and that the tee time entry supports the number of players you are trying to assign.
Q: Will Auto Assign change the original on-course start time recorded for a device?
A: No — the system calculates an internal "system start time" and when tee time pinning is applied the display will show the tee time as the group’s start time. The historical/course data remains usable for analysis.
Q: Who can request tee-sheet integrations?
A: Either the customer (you) or our team can request the integration depending on the provider. Contact Customer Success to begin the process.
