A Retroactive Shotgun is used when an event has already physically begun on the course (e.g., players teed off 15 minutes ago), but the shotgun hasn't been activated in the system yet. This process uses historical GPS data to ensure Pace of Play calculations are accurate from the actual start time.
Access the Shotgun Tab
Navigate to the Starter Module, select the Tee Times page, and click the Shotgun button in the middle of the page (in smaller text).
Adjust the Actual Start Time
Enter the specific time all carts were physically on their assigned starting holes.
Example: If it is currently 2:53 PM, but the players were in position and ready to tee off at 2:40 PM, adjust the time to 2:40 PM.
Pull Cart Locations
Click the Pull Cart Locations button. This triggers the system to look back at the GPS history for that specific timestamp.
Verify Tag Population
All active tags will automatically populate on the holes they were occupying at the adjusted time.
Refine Hole Assignments
Adjust holes to include B groups if required. Drag or adjust tags manually if any carts were out of position when you pulled the locations.
Enter Player Names
Type in the player names or identifiers for each group to ensure the leaderboard and pace reports are complete.
Retroactively Start Shotgun
Click the Retroactively Start Shotgun button.
Precision Tracking: Prevents groups from appearing "ahead of pace" or "behind" simply because the system was started after the physical tee-off.
GPS Synchronization: By pulling cart locations based on a past timestamp, you save time manually assigning device numbers to holes.
Automatic Pace Calibration: The system immediately calculates every group's pace based on their current GPS position relative to the retroactive start time and pre-set goal times.
