Mobile Tag Not Charging: Steps to Identify the Fault
When a Tag doesn’t charge, it can interrupt operations. This article will help you quickly identify the cause of the charging issue by walking you through simple troubleshooting steps. By testing the Tag, cable, and charging bay individually, you can determine exactly where the fault lies and take the correct next action.
If your Tag isn’t charging, there are three possible causes:

The Tag itself may be faulty

The charging cable may be faulty
-
The port on the charging bay may be faulty
- The goal is to eliminate any of the above faulty hardware items and troubleshoot from there.
Troubleshooting steps:
Test the Tag using a mobile charger.
Connect the Tag directly to a mobile charger and charging cable, test all the cables and ports if one or more isn't working.

If the power/battery light begins to flash, the Tag is functioning correctly.

If the tag works / charges using a different port or cable, this indicates the issue is likely with either any of the other charging cables or the charging bay port.
Test the Cables using different Tags
- If a working Tag charges using all or some of the cables and ports, the fault may likely be the actual Tag that is not charging, not the cables or charging port.
* As far as possible, please always make sure that the Mobile Tag Charging port is always covered and protected from moisture damage or dust build up.
