Tracking (recording) on-course interactions on behalf of the Player Assistant (Marshal) allows your team to monitor pace-of-play interventions and evaluate the effectiveness of your course management. Use these steps to log interactions via the tablet or your dashboard (pcs) and review the data in the dashboard.
When a Marshal reaches a group on the course (e.g., Cart 135 on Hole 3), follow these steps:
Open the Live Map
Confirm which group an interaction will be logged with, to log the interaction directly or on behalf of the Marshal (Player Assistant)
Click on the Group, Cart or Tag in your live map from your PC or from the tablet live map, you will now open their round details
Navigate to Player Assistance: (Scroll down to the Player Assistance section) in the sidebar
Choose the Interaction Type to log:
Quick Interaction: Tap this to instantly log a timestamp of the visit.
Green Interaction Button: Tap this to add a custom note (e.g., Marshal Name: "John," Message: "Asked group to keep up with the group ahead").
Save the Note: Press Add Note. This creates a permanent timeline of interactions for that specific round.
You can view interaction history directly on the live track map:
Open View Round for any group.
Look for the Interaction Icon on the track map. This indicates exactly where and when the Marshal (Player Assistant) spoke with the players or sent them a Message.
To see a high-level overview of all interactions:
Navigate to the Marshal Module on your dashboard and open Interactions.
Identify the Interaction Type:
Check-in: A positive interaction with a group that is in position or being held up.
Intervention: An interaction with a group that is out of position or impacting the pace of play.
Filter by Date: Use the calendar to select a Start and End Date, then press Apply to see all logs within that timeframe.
To see how interactions affect your operation, go to the Management Module and locate the Analytics Hub:
Average Time to Intervention: Measures how long a group was out of position before a Marshal intervened.
Average Time to Correction: Measures how long it took the group to recover their position after the interaction.
Success Rate: Review your daily goals and see how effectively interventions are solving pace issues.
| Definition | |
| Check-in | A standard contact with a group that is "in position." |
| Intervention | Contact made specifically to correct a group that is "out of position." |
Pro Tip:
Consistent logging helps the system calculate the "Time to Correction," providing valuable data on which Marshal strategies are most effective.
